Adult Sing-Along - What a Joyful Concert!


Hyerin Eom is a 15-year-old violinist from Palisades Park, New Jersey.  She was the concertmaster for the Repertory Orchestra while studying at the Manhattan School of Music and winner of its Concerto Competition in 2016. She also won first place in the 2021 International Grande Music Competition. Hyerin has performed in the Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall after receiving 1st prize in the Rondo Young Arts Competition.  Hyerin has attended the Mozarteum Summer Festival and the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. She has performed in masterclasses for Chad Hoopes and Philip Setzer. In addition to violin, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her friends and family. 

Hyeonuk Park is 16 years old. He has won first prize in the 2012 National Music Contests with Daegu Philharmonic National Orchestra in South Korea. In 2015, he gave his first solo recital in St. Petersburg, where he earned the Grand Prix at St. Petersburg International Young Art Premium Competition. After moving to the United States, Hyeonuk won first place in the New England Conservatory (NEC) Prep Concerto Competition in 2017 and soloed with the NEC Prep Youth Repertory Orchestra in 2018. In 2019, he received second prize at the 9th West Virginia International Piano Competition and Festival, and at the 6th MostArts Festival Young Pianist Competition. Hyeonuk was the winner of the Juilliard Pre-College Piano Concerto Competition in 2020 and soloed with Juilliard Pre-College Symphony Orchestra. He won third prize in the San Jose International Piano Competition in 2021. 

Violinist Jessica Wu is a senior at LaGuardia High School in New York City. At age 7, she won the Queens College Competition, and since age 9 has performed at several winners’ concerts at Carnegie Hall. Jessica is currently a member of the NY Youth Symphony chamber music program. She has won concerto competitions that enabled her to play with the Island Symphony Orchestra, CMC of NY Orchestra, and LaGuardia Senior Orchestra. She was nominated by LaGuardia High School to receive the ASCAP Foundation Ira Gershwin Scholarship in 2021. Jessica has performed in masterclasses with Midori and Ani Kavafian. In her free time, she likes to read, write, and swim.   

Pianist Alyssa Xu is a 16-year-old student attending West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in New Jersey. She has won numerous piano competitions, including most recently 1st prize in the New Jersey Music Teachers Young Musicians Competition.   Alyssa has also received top prizes in the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey and the Camerata Artists International Competition.  She has been honored in the Tkaczewski International Piano Competition, and the XI Chopin International Piano Competition in Connecticut, and has been designated Alternate in the MTNA (NJ) Student Performance Competitions and Finalist in the Claudette Sorel Piano Competition and Fellows Program. Alyssa has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Kaufman Music Center. During the last four years, Alyssa has co-organized the annual Performathon fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is also the vice-president of the Rescue Music Foundation.
