2nd Young Artists Concerto Competition 2009

Co-Chairperson: Wendy Wu and Shirley Ming Whui Yang

The 2nd Young Artist Concerto Competition was held on February 28, 2009 at the Jacobs Music Center, Lawrenceville, NJ under the direction of Chairperson, Wendy Wu and Co-Chairperson, Shirley Yang. Three judges, Carmina Gagliardi, Tomoko Harada and Chiu-Tze Lin, heard wonderful performances from a group of 40 outstanding young artists, including 22 pianists, 12 violinists, 5 cellists and 1 clarinetist. The judges were extremely impressed with the high caliper of performances. The judges selected Four Grand Prize Winners (Gold Medalists).One will perform with the orchestra on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Monroe High School, and three will perform with the orchestra on Saturday, May 31, 2009 at the Princeton Alliance Church , Plainsboro, NJ.
